UConn's Economic Impact

UConn Budget, Planning and Institutional Research (BPIR) releases a yearly assessment of UConn's economic impact at the state and local levels, including how UConn has created jobs, driven economic growth, and fostered innovation. Town-specific data includes average financial aid for resident students, UConn Health patient visits, and the number of resident students, faculty/staff, and alumni. UConn has supported more than 49,000 jobs and produced more than $8B in economic output.

Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills

The Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills is a university-wide center dedicated to developing students' professional skills and connecting them with important resources as they prepare for entering their career field. The Center facilitates a range of events, including career nights and fairs, networking sessions, and panel discussions across all UConn campuses. Students can also schedule career coaching appointments to discuss majors and careers, prepare for a job fair, review resumes, prepare for interviews, and more.

Wells Fargo Center for Neurodiversity and Inclusive Employment (CNDEI)

The Wells Fargo Center for Neurodiversity and Inclusive Employment (CNDEI), created in Fall 2024 via a grant from Wells Fargo, is focused on improving employment outcomes for neurodiverse individuals and employers. CNDEI offers training courses and workshops for employers to better understand neuroinclusion and how to approach, hire, and retain neurodiverse talent. The center also connects neurodivergent job seekers with opportunities and resources through the Neuroinclusive Candidate Network (NCN), and employers/professionals with the neurodiverse community through the Inclusive Employer Network (IEN).
