UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at UConn
UConn strives to align our research, academics, operations, and experiential learning programs with key sustainability frameworks like the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and AASHE's Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS). Both frameworks focus on health and well-being, clean water, affordable and clean energy, responsible consumption and production, climate action, human rights, and more.
Specifically, the UN SDGs advocate for improving lives around the world and reducing the hazardous man-made effects of climate change, while meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
