Tina Ngo
Thrift Den Intern
Office of Sustainability
Tina Ngo is a junior at UConn majoring in Management and Entrepreneurship. She co-founded The Thrift Den to make sustainable fashion more accessible to UConn students while reducing textile waste on campus.
Growing up in Vietnam, Tina had little exposure to environmental education and only began learning about sustainability after moving to the U.S. This realization, that environmental literacy is often a privilege, motivated her to create solutions that make sustainability more inclusive and practical.
Through The Thrift Den, she aims to redefine secondhand shopping as an easy, community-driven practice. By providing students with a space to donate and pick out clothing for free, she hopes to encourage mindful consumption and make sustainable choices an everyday habit. Beyond The Thrift Den, Tina is actively involved in various business and entrepreneurial roles both on and off campus, working to bridge the gap between sustainability and business innovation.
