Paige Gregory is a senior from Virginia Beach, Virginia majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Political Science. She is also on the Master of Public Policy Fast Track. Paige is involved in environmental activism both on campus and back home. In Virginia Beach, she works with organizations like Lynnhaven River Now and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to address stormwater pollution, advocate for environmental legislation, and educate community members on local and global issues. This summer she worked as a research apprentice in UConn’s SUPER lab studying Connecticut blight ordinances in and how they affect biodiversity and naturalized lawns. She also worked with UConn Extension and Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments on the Expanding Connecticut Urban Agriculture project. At UConn, she is the Treasurer of the Soil and Water Conservation Society and serves on the Environmental Studies Student Advisory Board. In her free time, you can find her reading, hiking, traveling, and watching basketball. During her internship at the Office of Sustainability, Paige looks forward to continue her work with students on campus, promoting environmental awareness and advocating for a sustainable future. She is excited to continue making a positive impact on campus and beyond. At COP, she is looking forward to exploring global environmental policy.
