Kinga Sigmond
Kinga Sigmond is a sophomore from Wilton, Connecticut majoring in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in sustainability. This summer, she took chemical engineering courses through UConn and volunteered with Wilton Go Green to help recycling efforts around her town. During the year, she researches AI-powered microplastic detection platforms for environmental health and safety and is the assistant program director for Project Hope. Kinga strives to be a renewable energy engineer, designing systems to capture, store, or convert microplastics and industrial CO₂ emissions. She hopes that attending COP31 will help her understand how to institute climate engineering solutions on an international scale.
