Clara Minor
Thrift Den Intern Alumna
Office of Sustainability
Clara Minor graduated from UConn in 2026 with a B.A. in Communications with a minor in business, and worked as a Thrift Den Intern at the Office of Sustainability (OS) from 2024 to 2026. Clara’s passion for fashion has sparked her interest in the environmental impact of the industry, particularly the waste generated by fast fashion. Motivated to address this issue, Clara co-founded a student-run thrift store at UConn that promotes sustainable fashion and encourages secondhand shopping as a eco-friendly alternative.
To further expand her knowledge and fuel her passion she joined the UConn Fashion Society e-board to further educate herself and share her insights with others. Additionally, her involvement in the Marketing Society allowed her to connect her understanding of consumer behavior to the work of the organizations she supports. Clara’s interests now center around sustainability, fashion, and marketing, particularly in ways they can intersect to create a more sustainable campus.
OS Activities: Marketing, Strategy, Social Media, Thrift Den, Fashion
