Alexandra (Allie) Calabro is a senior in Mechanical Engineering and a Senior Sustainability Intern with the Office of Sustainability. She believes in the clean and sustainable future of energy for our planet and is studying mechanical engineering to equip herself with the skills and knowledge required to further clean energy and green hydrogen research and technologies. Allie recognizes that developing new technology will not solve all our climate issues and that advancements in research will be in vain without a significant shift in our society’s current attitude towards the environment. Her internship at the Office of Sustainability will help her learn how to impact society’s behaviors to make space for the clean energy technology of the future; she hopes to make positive change in the way we as individuals view the idea of sustainability and show people that no change is too small – we all have a role to play in saving our home.
