Ready for the fright of your life?

7:00pm - 9:30pm, October 23, 2024 at the Hillside Environmental Education Park (left of IPB)

Experience UConn's favorite Halloween tradition, the annual Haunted HEEP trail walk event organized and hosted by the Office of Sustainability! This FREE 1-mile long spooky walk through the UConn's Hillside Environmental Education Park (HEEP) was established in 2020. Every year, groups of students plunge into the shadows, daring to explore the creepy scenes set up along the one mile Red Trial of the HEEP. Learn more about the HEEP here! The trails are closely tied to UConn's sustainability history - the HEEP contains a remediated landfill and provides miles of trails for the community to enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of nature.

The Haunted HEEP event is supported by more than 100 student volunteers, both individuals and clubs/organizations on campus, who directly contribute to the success of the event. We are so grateful to all that volunteer! Volunteer sign-ups for 2024 are now closed - check back next October!

Everyone is welcome to attend - you MUST fill out the WAIVER below to attend. Check in at the HEEP Trailhead Parking Lot between 7pm to 9:30pm. Free t-shirts will be given to the first 100 students to survive the Haunted HEEP!
