Mackenzie Dahlen

Sustainability Outreach Intern, Werth Tower

Office of Sustainability

Mackenzie is a sophomore from Mansfield, Connecticut, majoring in Natural Resources, dual concentrating in Fisheries and Wildlife Conservation and Environmental Conservation and Sustainability. She is very involved around campus. Along with this internship, she is a current member of the Living Learning Community, WiMSE (Women in Math, Science, and Engineering). Through this community, she’s developing connections and leadership skills with other women in STEM. She is also engaged in numerous clubs and organizations around campus, including Summit Sisters, Wildlife Society, and Horticulture Club.
Over this past summer, she assisted with a research project through the Department of Natural Resources that focused on the population of an endangered butterfly species across the state. In case it wasn’t obvious already, she has a clear passion for conservation and the environment. She also loves event planning, so she is excited for the opportunity to combine two of her favorite things to provide Werth residents with sustainability programming! She plans to spread environmental awareness through the use of creative activities, educational opportunities, and sharing resources on living a sustainable lifestyle.
