Sustainability Outreach Intern, Shippee

Isabella is a sophomore from Caldwell, New Jersey majoring in Plant Science and double majoring in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics. She is particularly interested in environmental law, sustainable food systems, and environmental justice. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, trail running, and playing Roblox. This fall, Isabella will be involved in research examining climate policy documents through both human analysis and artificial intelligence. The research will compare how ClimateBERT, a machine-learning model, and human reviewers identify key themes and topics in climate policy texts. She is excited to work with the Office of Sustainability this year and contribute to its efforts to promote sustainability and environmental awareness throughout campus.
