Megan Romansky

Megan Romansky is a second-year Master’s student from Voorheesville, New York. She is in the Applied and Resource Economics program in the ARE Department and is also a USDA National Needs Fellow in Data Science. Currently, she works at Baystate Health in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she works on income equity and researches benefits cliffs. She also works as a Graduate Assistant at the Center for Students with Disabilities at UConn. Megan’s main research focus as a graduate student is energy economics, primarily on wind energy. After previously working at the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) in the Office of Equity and Environmental Justice, she gained extensive knowledge in environmental justice policy, as well as implementing cumulative impacts studies for permits of polluting facilities. She hopes that COP31 will provide a broader perspective of environmental justice at an international level and share the lessons and successes of Connecticut’s policies.
