Emily Baker

Outreach Sustainability Intern, McMahon

Office of Sustainability

Emily Baker is a sophomore from East Longmeadow, Massachusetts majoring in Accounting, minoring in Spanish, and is a returning Community Outreach Intern. Emily is an active member of UConn’s Case Club, Club Track & Field, and the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. In her free time, Emily loves to stay active with just about anything from lifting in the gym to rock wall climbing, hanging out with friends/family, or relaxing with a good book. Back home, she works as an advanced gymnastics coach and leads her gym’s summer and school-break camps. Last year as a Community Outreach Intern, she hosted many sustainable events for her residence hall, participated in campus clean-ups, and was involved in UConn’s Give & Go. Emily is very interested in ways that various cooperations can implement sustainable practices and hopes to get a better understanding of such through her work with UConn’s Office of Sustainability and surrounding communities. In the future, Emily hopes to work as an international accountant, traveling around the world, and helping to develop and implement more environment-friendly operations for businesses.
